Congratulations to the Cork man, and great management from Dean Smith.

I love the fact for once there is not a scapegoat. Glenn Whelan has been superb and Jack tweeted tonight just saying Kante. Says it all. Mings has been immense and cannot believe he is not good enough for Bournemouth. I see Arsenal centre halves, he is far better than them imo

For me Andre Green is playing to his level. I'm glad he's getting a run of games and he's made an impact but this is probably close to what his potential is. He's not particularly quick, he doesn't really have that burst of speed, he doesn't have a trick. He'll do ok vs Championship defenders but he won't make it in the PL. Solid squad player, good lad, but that's it. But, if we go he will have played his part so I'm glad he came back to help out, but long term I think he'll carve out a decent lower division career.
We have to stop doing this with our young players. Far too early to be judging a young players potential when he hasnt even had a full season yet. The Premier League is littered with players we called shit and will never make the grade and moved on too quickly. Let our youngsters grow into their role. Green has many attributes and in time may well become a real homegrown star. For now he is learning his trade and we should expect some good stuff from him and some meh from time to time.

I think you are right but these are the sort of things we said about Marc Albrighton. Let’s give him a run of games and see but I don’t see anything to excite me.

I never called him shit. Not even close.

Pulis manages to give the impression that the scoreline was misleading as we scored 3 from only 5 shots on target. He should be honest enough to say that we totally outclassed them.We were absolutely superb and there were so many commanding performances. Our midfield were totally dominant whereas Pulis just wanted his players to hit long diagonals to their wide players.
Boro's central defender,Flint, was in a long conversation with Jack after the whistle, probably either asking what it's like to play in a team that wants to play a passing game or mention that I wouldn't mind playing for your team.

I have just remembered Whelans effort from 80 yards when he saw their goalie off the line. Outrageous!

Green seems to still be playing within himself after his injury. Maybe worries about his hamstring is stopping him from going 100%.

To me it read as Pulis criticising his defence rather than a case of a flattering scoreline.

Quote
“What’s been disappointing is the goals that we’ve conceded,” he said.

“From our throw-in, we play the ball across the pitch and they get in and the left-sided player caused Ryan (Shotton) loads of problems when he was on. I thought we were better when we made the change.

The second goal is a poor goal, he runs off Lewis (Wing) and shows more desire to get there and scores.

“The last goal, Darren’s (Randolph) been fantastic this year and he’ll be the first to hold his hand up. Five shots at goal – they scored three.”

Good news about Conor. Became a dad last night and got the game off.

Another assist.
