Is Carroll available?

I'm struggling to out a midfield together.

Hourihane shouldn't start, not Jedinak or Whelan. But that doesn't leave us with too many options.

Carroll, McGinn and erm...?

Smith said he was out for 10 days after the Sheff Utd match, so as it hasn't been that long, I'd say he'd be very doubtful.

1-3 to the Stripey Filth
Rumblings of discontent towards Smith and he and the team roundly booed by the few fans who stay until the final whistle
The club gave up on promotion weeks ago and almost admitted they had done so with their comments about " not needing to go up this season"

It's worse than that.

The guys at the top actually told everybody they were not "requiring or expecting" promotion.

Bring on the abuse. But that's the facts.

What an utter bore you are.

Dry your eyes mate.

It was said, by the top brass, in mid December.

Kalinic

Elphick
Mings
Hause

Jedinak
Whelan
Bjarnason
Hourihane
McGinn

Davis
Abraham

Spend 90 minutes launching it towards Davis, and I reckon we can get a point out of this.

Has Steve Bruce signed up to this site? Whelan, Jedinak and Bjarni all starting?!

No, because you're trying to start an unnecessary row in a match thread and it's already been done to death. Grow up.

Anyway, back on topic. Not sure how this one is going to go. I thought we were going to kick on after the Sheff Utd comeback but that didn't happen. He needs to change it instead of playing it down the wings which isn't working. Whether that is playing El Ghazi through the middle or throwing Jacob Ramsey in etc, I don't know. 2-1 to us anyway.

I'd like to see Kodja start with Tammy as 2 up front and then just pack the defense with the other 9 lucky names on the team sheet.

Purslow said that promotion wasn't a requirement in respect of finances. I think it's important that the context is provided for the comments.

A good start would be not naming Hutton as captain.

Can't see anything but another defeat.  A comfortable 2-0 to them.
