Win 1-0. A headed Hutton goal to win it.

From their OS

Quote
Dwight Gayle has been suspended for two games by the Football Association after being found guilty of simulation in this week’s 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The Club supports Dwight’s view that he was attempting to avoid anticipated challenges in the 89th-minute incident which led to a penalty award for Albion.

Although disappointed with the outcome, Albion have regrettably concluded any appeal would be fruitless.

The Baggies striker will now miss the next two games against Aston Villa and QPR in the Sky Bet Championship.
There were 2 challenges coming in, but that's what happens in football when players try to attempt to tackle and take the ball from another player. Attempting to avoid the challenges by doing a swan dive and tricking the referee to award a penalty is cheating.

I hope Smith can get a performance out of this bunch and prove a lot of us wrong.
The fact that “ the club supports Dwight’s view” says everything you need to know about them.

Sandwell in 'being a bunch of cnuts' shock.

Edit: and holier than thou cnuts at that.

Just win Villa and send these backward gimps back to gaslampsville where they belong.

Is Carroll available?

I'm struggling to out a midfield together.

Hourihane shouldn't start, not Jedinak or Whelan. But that doesn't leave us with too many options.

Carroll, McGinn and erm...?

I will not criticise Smith if he tries something different in the defensive and midfield, if he continues to pick the same faces in the same positions I fear that we will slide into the bowels of the championship table. The effort against  Brentford was woeful in the extreme he cannot allow the same players to get away with it any longer.

Try and pick a three man midfield you're happy with. Then try a 442 or 4411 and pick two.

Or instead you might want to try something simpler, like bringing peace to the Middle East, solve the draught issue in South America or teach Craig Gardner how to breathe through his nose.

A couple of Bitters I know are obsessed with going on about Grealish, and what a dreadful human being he is.

Funnily enough I can’t ever remember Jack being suspended for diving, punching a ball into the net or be accused of racially abusing an opponent.

I can think of a team that has managed all of the above though.

The stock on players not in the starting 11 always seems to rise when things aren't going well. Recently when Jedinak and Barny have come in they've been woeful. The reality is some scapegoaters on here who never offer any solutions will always find a new scapegoat to pin their negative comments on. If Barny was to come in tomorrow then it has to be as dm only. A fit lansbury might make a difference but who knows with that man. Smith has struggled to find a replacement for Grealish but it's not McGinn. He needs to play in centre midfield not as a support for Tammy. I'm not sure who Smith will start with tomorrow but whoever the starting 11 are I will support them. UTV

To be fair, it’s terrifically difficult for a player to come into the first team and make an impact from the start. Especially if they have been out with injury and coming back into a team that aren’t playing well.

I predict we'll be 0-2 down at H/T & boo'd off the park. Cue another actual contest/comeback after 80 mins: leading to a Boggies defender punching the ball into his own net; then an equalizer from the spot in the 7th minute of added time - after an hilario dive from El Khazi.

Lump on y'all  ;)

You’d think that with Gayle suspended we might be capable of eeking out a draw against this lot. I’m fairly sure though we’ll conspire to find some way of losing in humiliating fashion.

Can we just fast forward to August?

1-3 to the Stripey Filth
Rumblings of discontent towards Smith and he and the team roundly booed by the few fans who stay until the final whistle
The club gave up on promotion weeks ago and almost admitted they had done so with their comments about " not needing to go up this season"

It's worse than that.

The guys at the top actually told everybody they were not "requiring or expecting" promotion.

Bring on the abuse. But that's the facts.
