I know this is the Mings thread but where does Konsa fit into this conversation? Played more matches for us than Ty. Felt a bit harsh leaving him out of my suggested legends earlier but I think the leadership aspect puts him just below the ones I said.

Also, compared to Mings, his worst is better but his best is worse.

Think that's a bit harsh on Ezri but I know where you're coming from. Maybe the shunting between RB and CB has diminished the opinion of him a bit.

I think it's more a compliment to Mings than a criticism of Konsa (whilst also pointing out his reliability). I agree with it anyway. At his best, Mings can keep waves of attacks out on what feels like his own. They've been lost to time, but there was some pretty clear stats on PPG and goals conceded with and without Mings and with and without Kamara around 18 months ago. I was surprised we coped so well without Mings, but when Kamara was injured too I knew we were done.

It's good to have them both back and we'll be far better for it. Konsa will too. They're a strong collective.

Konsa is incredible defending on the floor, up there with the best in the league, but he's not great in the air and can get out muscled sometimes. He needs someone like Mings alongside him.

Also I'm one of those whose opinion of Konsa has gone up after his time at rightback. He's a certain kind of rightback, sure, he's not exactly getting up and down like Kyle Walker, but when that system worked it worked really well.

I agree, personally I'd like to see if Mings could play on the right of Pau with Konsa outside him because, if they can all settle in those roles, I think that would be the basis of our best defence.

Yes, with Digne or Maatsen on the left.

Cash Konsa Mings Digne - our fab four. Some things are just great and don't need any further embellishments.

I think this is our best defensive back 4 and only needs changing for games where we expect to be on the front foot against a team that parks the bus

I think we could all save ourselves a lot of time by adding either 'Pau Posse' or 'Cash Kids' to our signatures.

Another thumbs up for this back 4.  On paper Konsa, Mings, Pau works really well, with Maatsen bombing forward.

I think he's got better playing there this season.  I do think his positioning still isn't great at times and he tucks in too far, but I suppose that's understandable given he's played most of his career at CB.  Him and Carlos end up.a bit too close to each other at times, as they did in midweek.
