Footy wasn't the only poster on here speculating about retirement, and given how the actual update was worded, plenty of people elsewhere were doing it too. In fact it's quite likely the first post was worded that way intentionally. Plenty of other posts from the footies more deserving of ridicule than this one.

I'm wondering this must be a major announcement. I can only think he'll announce his retirement from football.
The physical and mental toll of the injury, as well as having to get back to contention and competition to depose Pau Torres.
Perhaps he wants to concentrate on something other than football and now is the type to finish

Good Wishes is all I can say. He'll be a success whatever he is going to do.

This has aged really well

Foresight.

Yeah but they can’t wait to randomly speculate on everything, working on the stopped clock theory.

Presumably he’s overseas where the time difference is GMT +3 hours? Otherwise that’s an old post.

No it’s me, I’m in Egypt.

Relief! Gee I sure was stressin'!  but seems Tyrone Mings was advised to do an announcement, and then a reveal, give us some insight into his rehab.
Ty has promised more, so maybe next time I won't be so nervous!
It's incredibly difficult physically and mentally, so fingers crossed for no setbacks, and it's great to hear and see him and how much support he has. Fantastic!

Quote
A judge has issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of making racist gestures towards Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings.

Italian national Angelo Lancianese, 39, was made the subject of a warrant without bail after he failed to attend a hearing at Dudley Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The 39-year-old was arrested when Villa hosted Lazio in a pre-season friendly at Walsall's Bescot Stadium on 3 August.

He was charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and allegedly causing racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress.

Always thought the 'S.S.' at the front of the name and the big Nazi eagle on the badge was a bit off, and something someone like Chris Heck would be looking to move away from.

But no, it actually seems to be with some intent in their case.

Tutti ci odiano, non ce ne freghiamo.

Incidentally, 'me ne frego!' - 'I don't care' - was the very first fascist slogan.

My 10 year old daughter's favourite riposte to anything I say, the little fashy shit.
