Lazio had some interesting banners for Celtic yesterday. Friendly bunch.

Always thought the 'S.S.' at the front of the name and the big Nazi eagle on the badge was a bit off, and something someone like Chris Heck would be looking to move away from.

But no, it actually seems to be with some intent in their case.

Tutti ci odiano, non ce ne freghiamo.

Incidentally, 'me ne frego!' - 'I don't care' - was the very first fascist slogan.

My 10 year old daughter's favourite riposte to anything I say, the little fashy shit.

Gotta stamp that out mate. Don't be Victor Emmanuel III. Say to her, renounce violence or no room in the coalition for you!

(Apropos of nothing I am not a parent, don't know if you can tell.)

Sound advice brother, though I might leave it a couple of years before showing her the 'upside down fascist' picture.

Reminds me of the Michael McIntire bit where his small child took an extreme dislike to juice, but pronounced it jooos, so he was toddling around North London screaming "NO JOOOS!"

Probably best to wait till she learns the finer points of Italian cooking.

Found this online. Written by Tim Adams who is a Villan.

It's a bit old, but really makes you think about the trial/ordeal that players have recovering from long term injuries. Seems that the mental side is as important as the physical issues.

Makes you wonder how Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings are getting along.

I would think that it will be at least another year before Mings is again a regular in the Villa squad

Depends. Obviously there might be differences in both injuries and could be set backs along the way but Buendia could be back with the first team squad in Feb / March. Of course back in training AND back playing are also two different things.

It's somewhat easier for a CB to come back from that sort of injury as opposed to a midfielder or wide forward-type.  Most of the play is in front of them, and don't need to cover every blade of grass and twist and turn etc.

It's complicated somewhat by Mings having a similar injury earlier in his career. After the trauma of two of those sort of injuries I'd be happy to see him just return, even if the ends up playing the Diego Carlos/ Lenglet role next year.

It was 13 months for his first injury which he received at a similar time on the season. But as I mentioned, it would also depend on the extent of the injury as Buendia might be back in 3 months time.

There's a whole bunch of steps in the recovery here, the big thing to watch for right now is them getting on grass, once they hit that point you're looking at 6-8 weeks for them to be in 'full' training.

You only have to look at Ramsey's return to see how long it takes a player to fully recover.  He can do a job for us now but it's going to take time for him to be the Ramsey at his best.

It's a bit different the way we play. Our defenders will step up to catch players offside. When play continues, (the linesmen don't raise their flag straight away, for instance), they've then got to turn and sprint back to catch up with play.

With moves like that he should be a contestant on Gladiators
