Another thing about last night in particular, why were the Leeds fans giving him so much abuse? He's never let England down when called upon, and I don't remember him doing anything to wind them up in the past.

I think I know the answer, and I do wonder if it affected him.

Maybe, but I think it was probably because he lost his head in the same fixture last season when he was up against Bamford. I think that game last season was his worst for Villa, and more worthy of criticism than anything he did last night. He allowed the red mist to descend, which affected his game. In turn, the reason for this was Bamford's repeated playacting, both in the EPL and Championship games between the two sides.

They started singing Tyrone Mings is Fucking Shit when he passed the ball straight out for a throw when under no pressure at all. He then fucked up for the first goal. Then the second goal. Then the third goal.

That’s the way I saw it as well. He’s now a well known footballer who had a bad start to the game so the opposing fans took the piss out of him. I’m not sure it was that which effected the rest of his night though as I think he’s the sort of guy who dwells on his cock ups anyway and it effects him, as one or two others have said.

Exactly, I'll often have a gander on a number of other clubs' sites when we're on TV (and particularly when we're winning :) ). Not once have I read anyone wishing they'd signed him or indeed any praise for him at all. It's generally that he's prone to making ricks, he's gash and questioning how the f**k is he playing for England. At best the view is he wouldn't playing for England if he weren't left-sided. A given club's supporters often tend to value their own players than higher others do but the general consensus out there is that he's not very good.

Fans of other clubs can fuck off, frankly.
