Mings has a lot to answer for. As captain he gets himself booked at 60th minute for time wasting. Total madness and then is found wandering way out of position somewhere over at left wing at 80th minute when we are 2-0 up. That was the time to play safe and use up time and not play stupid unintelligent  football and knock your team out of shape. He has to take responsibility for this humiliation.

He's nowhere near good enough to play in a top half team. Is my polite answer that can be considered following a trip back up the M6.

Earlier at Villa Park and watching the brainless oaf lumber about into mistake after mistake, my opinion could be succinctly put at he's fucking shite and shouldn't be anywhere near the team, the useless fucking donkey.

Two games in a row where he's awfulness has left us with nothing. Dire distribution all game long at Spurs and then that today. He's beyond average and not good enough.

Attitude was dreadful today. Summed up by that corner he gave away in the first half, tried to get in an arm wrestle with Semedo I think it was. Something not right with him today.

His five minute meltdown didn’t help our cause today. Not impressed.

His passing is crap, his concentration is crap, and his marking at corners is crap.

He seems to be plagued by lapses in concentration. I am too. But his lapses are more public.

Its whether Smith has the guts to drop him.  You get the distinct impression that he thinks he's untouchable

Controversial, but I'd much rather have Coady in my backline than Mings.  Always impressed me

He has been rubbish since his England call up. Not sure why but his concentration and determination has completely gone, he looks disinterested.

Reluctant as I am to make excuses for millionaire athletes but it may be a factor that Tyrone has come through the Covid ravaged 19/20 season, that condensed 20/21 season with the short autumn turnaround and was with the England squad until mid July this year.

He could be one of a number of players to keep an eye on re burnout. Luiz being the other main one with Brazil's schedule last summer.

If he's iffy again next time out, there might be a strong argument to rest him. Let's see.

No he's had his opportunity. January isn't the easiest time to buy, but we need a genuine centre half who can lead us. Konsa is a Rolls Royce partnered by a Peugeot or a Renault. Nowhere near the quality or the reliability and prone to doing something inexplicable dumb.

We want to be challenging for Europe, we cannot do that with somebody who distributes it so poorly and has his brain go walk abouts as frequently as his positioning.
