Needs to up his game as well. Got beaten in the air too often. Only guy who did a decent job in the back 4 on Saturday was Konsa

Yep, thought he was fairly poor overall. Far too casual for their second when he stuck out his boot, and resorted to aimless long punts out of defence much too often.

Problem with his points forward, invariably last season Watkins would get to them, hold it, and give it to Jack, who would almost always keep it while the team pushed up. Ings has to do that job and learn the out ball, get hold and keep it. We then need a Buendia or Bailey supporting that can keep the ball.

I think we can safely say they all need to up their game. No point starting on Mings. They were all a crock of shit that first half.

Brilliant offerings in the opposition box Vs Newcastle.
The assist for the Ings wonder goal was first class and the attempt at goal for winning penalty shows what an effective and danger player he can be.

Was concerned to see all the heavy strapping he has cover in underneath and seems to be carrying on without 100% fitness.
Martinez was giving him a real talking too about keeping going as he was getting treatment.
Like soldier at war for one last push

Only concern was the way he tried to play the ref after McGinn fouled (not given) and Wilson went through on goal where Ty stops.
To me the crowd being back influenced some of the players early on as adrenaline was raised and tackles flying in
Ref was seeming to say you can all foul and played were stoked.
Mings was gesturing towards the ref while Wilson going through on goal.
The extra responsibility for Tyrone is something he deals with but can add pressure for any player.
But I felt he was just superb generally and dealt with Wilson who was being a pain as much as a threat in his antics

I can see TM getting 5+ goals this season.

He was decent all game, and they're clearly working on him being a menace in the box at set pieces when we're attacking. However, to stop and throw your hands in the air when a striker is through on goal like he did is just plain bad defending. He also completely lost Wilson just before their penalty/offside incident.

He speaks so well.  It's great to have him as our captain, for me he is just a perfect fit for Aston Villa.

If he's quite injured he should withdraw and rest from the international break
Hope he's back well for Chelsea

Heard broken rib

Bruised or cracked ribs can take 3-6 weeks to heal. So he might miss the chelsea game

When did he injure his ribs? Last week they looked heavily strapped up.

I cracked two ribs doing taekwondo many moons ago. The doctor told me three weeks of no contact and minimal involvement. Rest and painkillers, no quick fix. Sneezing fucking killed!

This week and the fortnight inter break should help him to recover, I hope.

I really don’t understand why Tyrone is joining up with England.

Cracked ribs, he has to rest, simple as that. There’s no quick fix, there’s no way he should play any games for England.

Any light fitness stuff can be done at BMH.
