"We didn’t start the first game of the season anywhere near where we wanted to, but the result doesn’t overshadow my overwhelming feeling of pride at being made captain of this great football club.

Yep, thought he was fairly poor overall. Far too casual for their second when he stuck out his boot, and resorted to aimless long punts out of defence much too often.

Of all and every central defender on the premier league to have played 5 or more games last season 48% of  Tyrone Mings passes were made forward.
That was the joint highest amount of passes forward along with James Tarks of Burnley.

Not back not sideways. But forwards.
That is higher than any other defender other than Burnley James Tarkowski.

And therefore 48% of Mings passes last season were forward.
So all the other defenders were passing back or sideways at a higher rate than Mings.
I'm not talking about accuracy or amount just direction pass was made and completed .
