Plans for a Downing St reception for the team have apparently been "shelved".

Hopefully they told the lying racist where to go.

Ha, Boris running scared.

Don’t think I’ve ever admired a Villa player as much as I do Tyrone.

If the players had been naive enough to agree to Johnson using the team for reasons of populism, guess who would have been in the pictures on the front of the Tory press? You got it.  The black ones. He is sufficiently rhino skinned to do it if he thought he could get away with it. "Racist? Who me?  I cheered myself hoarse for these guys, Starling and Sako and Richford".

Meanwhile, the government managed to get their BNP-treasured policy of slashing Foreign Aid through. That'll be a lot of mainly Black/Brown people dying. Still, Johnson can occasionally send a Tweet telling everyone he's opposed to racism, so that's okay.

Thought this was brilliant

It's great, but what's the story with that creature (no Patel jokes, please)? I feel like I've missed a reference.

Ah okay, I feel foolish now.

Why is Ian gnawing at Kalvin Phillips' groin?

It's what tapirs do.  Their diet is primarily nuts.

Tyrone's tweet has outed some proper racist bastards over the last 24 hours. Most of them rather predictable it has to be said.

Brexit dimwit Andrew Lilico has some advice for The Villa and England:

“That's the kind of thing that ought to get him be unavailable to be picked for England for several matches. His home club should have a word with him too.”

The appalling grammar is his, not mine.

He continues: “You shouldn't be able to go around accusing the Home Secretary to her face of stoking racism & still play for England without an apology, submission & period of being unavailable for selection. The world can't work like that.”

What would submission entail, I wonder? And then…

“If Jonny Bairstow or Jos Buttler publicly accused the Home Secretary of overseeing a paedophile ring, just because she disagreed with them over some piece of legislation, should they be able to continue to play for England?”

Ludicrous individual.
