I really like him and I think the leadership he brings to us is massively undervalued by some fans. Watching his post match interview and the stuff today, alongside numerous other things in the last few years I suspect he'll have a fantastic management career when he stops playing (either as a manager or as a head of youth development). I get the impression that he's the sort of person who gets the best out people around him.

So glad that he’s ours!

He was fantastic when he joined on loan; that picture of him arriving back at Bournemouth station on the Monday after the play off final still in his Villa kit is one of my favourite Villa pictures ever. Since he joined us permanently he’s grown as a player and as a leader.

Of the pitch he’s a wonderful ambassador for the sport and for his generation. I really admire him.

I think he's said that he hopes to be higher up the food chain than coach or youth development.

I also echo TV's thoughts.

I hope so, he clearly knows his own mind and has worked to get where he is, both things that will work well for him as a manager.

I mean, I didn't need these incredibly dignified and reasonable comments to know that Tyrone was better than Priti Patel, as, to be fair, so is a staph infection, but my God he did himself proud today. What a guy.

I'm a massive fan of Tyrone but think he's on to a loser here.

Right Ty. That's why you were trying to keep everyone else kneeling when they jumped up after a couple of seconds.

You can't have BLM on your shirts when you first start making the symbol then say it's not that BLM when they make the met police kneel and try to burn the Union Jack at the cenotaph. It doesn't wash. It's going to get booed. Do something else.

Yes, can you do a different peaceful anti-racism protest please Ty. This one upsets some idiots.

Quite so. I don't think Kick It Out has been roundly booed recently has it?

When, exactly, would there be a public occasion at which these prats would have the opportunity to actually boo Kick It Out? If they could they would, because most of the booers don’t want an end to racism (the others don’t think it’s an issue).

That's fair comment. I only comment (esp on this thread) because I don't think it's a few prats booing and I don't think they're booing because they're racists.

I have huge respect for Tyrone and his team mates intentions but I'd boo if I was there because I think in this choice of symbolic gesture is divisive and we don't need stuff that's divisive.

It is divisive, yes. Those booing are twats, those who don't boo aren't. If you boo it  you're dragging our club's reputation through the mud. Just sit and be respectful of antiracism for two seconds, it isn't difficult.

And you literally can't "have huge respect for Tyrone" if you boo.

It's only divisive because a bunch of brain-donors are booing it. If they just shrugged and rolled their eyes, it's no longer divisive.

If a bunch of people decided they were going to boo the fourth official announcing the amount of injury time for a load of incoherent reasons, it wouldn't make the concept of injury time divisive.

Instead of booing why can’t you just respect the gesture quietly?

Seems I need to work harder in my Struggle Sessions. I'm very sorry for not complying more completely comrade.

Alternatively, you could provide argument as to why I should applaud a representative of the club that my family has supported for over a hundred years making political representation for a group that wants to defund the police and destroy the nuclear family quite apart from their clearly and stated racism?
