Bent was a lot more defensive of Mings - said he thought he was better than Stones at pure defending (not on the ball) and he'd much prefer to play against Stones than Mings.  He did agree with Durham that Mings is behind a few other centre halfs (Dunk, Maguire, Gomez and one or two others) but they were all decent players and it's a moot point on their hierarchy as they all have different qualities. 

Right now, for what we as a club need, I wouldn't swap Mings for many of them.

From the bits I have seen on TV Konsa and Hause have also looked good, is that a fair reflection from watching live?  Particularly with defenders, being organised and in the correct positions often means that attacks are stopped before they’re started which is not easy to see on TV.
