Others are starting to see just what an intelligent, well spoken individual Tyrone Mings is. Hopefully they will see what a super player he is when he makes his international debut.

Sky Sports were in our office today interviewing people about when Mings used to work with us.

Guess there is a lot of screen time to fill in international weeks.

You didn’t jump in to rant about the referee’s decision on Saturday?

I hope they don't.

It wasn't that long ago that every time a Villa player went on international duty with England the first thing they did when they came back was put a transfer request in.

I rather randomly got talking to Tyrone’s mom on Saturday at Selhurst Park. She’d spotted my son’s Villa top with MINGS 40 on the back and proudly came over to tell us that that was “her boy!”

She was lovely to talk to and has promised me that Tyrone will never leave Villa as he loves it here and also loves Deano!

Don’t watch SSN that much but thanks to Brexit just watched it. Well impressed with the interview with Tyrone. What an unselfish person.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you Ad@m. We have to stop thinking this way. We have to want our players to be good enough, even great enough to play for their countries. Not just English players but across all nationalities. And as importantly we need to create an environment at our own clubs that the players feel their personal ambitions are being met. In the end football is a food chain and heads can and will be turned at any time. Not just on international duty, but when these guys have time off and end up on holiday in the summer even. They're not daft. They can see what is happening at other clubs. They know what's happening at their own. Back when we lost those players you hinted at Man City were on an incredibly rise and buying up whoever they wanted. Young joined a very powerful Man U. Downing was a cock but joined Liverpool.

We have to make sure that as our players get recognised that we do all we can to keep them. Leicester kept Vardy but in the end lost Kante to Chelsea, Mahrez to Man City, Maguire to Man U yet have bought well and remain really strong. It's going to happen and when it does we need to build from it. And if Mings, SJM or Jack becomes all they can be we could lose all of them unless we build around them a team that will compete for more staying above 17th and a decent cup run.

I understand Ad@m's view but agree TV. Our problem at that time was always that our recruitment wasn't good enough. When we sold Yorke, we bought Dublin and Merson and became a better side. You have to be prepared to sell players who have want to move to another club but have a plan in place as to how you're going to replace them and then get as much money for that player as you can get. Yes Leicester sold Maguire but they got £75/80m for him.

Had Mings the Marvellous been playing today, then Bulgaria would have ended with  minus goals.

Anyone else really want to see him come on tonight?

5-1 up, you'd hope so?

No. Keep Mings safe on the bench.

Also, he’s better than the other defenders, which would be bad for the comeback

C’mon you Kosovo
