I've always been in the pro-Tyrone camp from day one.

Players who arrive in the Premier League, previously having had a real job and driven a naff car, tend to have a better grasp on how the world works and what is actually important.
The occasional poor game doesn't take away the fact that Tyrone Mings is a credit to our club.

Agreed -and was bought at risk. £20m+ is a lot of cash for a newly-promoted club to spend on a player who had never been a Prem regular.

I'm proud he's a Villa player, wishbhed get more recognition for the national team and hope he stays.

This is 100% how I feel too.

Yep, me too.

He’s a good player and a good man.

He’s a good player and a good man.

Agree. Although, I’d probably be wanting a better player, if aiming for the top eight or so places.

I think in the right team he’s comfortably good enough for the top 8.

He's ace. Deserves this award. Should still be our captain.

TM made a costly error with his header against Chelsea.
I believe Mings was made aware that Gareth Southgate was in observation , which may have contributed to his nervy showing at the start of the match and misfortune.

I also don't believe SG gives full support, and Mings appears to have lost some confidence, having made two rash challenges that resulted in free kicks that led to goals in the last two matches.

I'm curious if Gerrard will bench him for Fulham everything points to that. Maybe it will be dressed as a deemed rotational move for Bednarek.

I believe our former captain could well outlast Gerrard, and with a new coach we'll get a revitalised Tyrone Mings, he's not at peak performance right now.

I think having been somewhat undermined and pressured by the manager, it's understandable that he's made a few mistakes.

I think he should.
But I wouldn't be surprised if one of the next two he won't be playing.
Due to the turnaround of matches , form and that we have Bednarek available.

Of course he'll play. Gerrard's comments on Mings after the game:

"To be fair to Tyrone, I've been in dressing rooms where people make mistakes and don't put their hand up and take responsibility for them," he said.

"Tyrone's done that and I've told him there was no need because his reaction was superb from there and his form's improved dramatically in my opinion. He's been one of our strongest performers."

This is a (social) media thing. There is nothing to indicate there is a problem between Mings and Gerrard other than people not associated with the club stoking the subject for clicks.

Of course he should play, our most consistent and inform player this season. If only we was as good as him at the other end our manager might not be getting the boot. When your not scoring, that pressure just builds and builds at the other end. Let’s face it our top scorer has one goal. Mings isn’t the problem.

He made a mistake at the weekend, I agree, but how many mistakes has the rest of the team made over the season.

He failed to control one ball, and it is deemed all his fault.
How many balls did Watkins fail to control at the opposite end?
