Brilliant knock from Rehan. I forgot to include him but I reckon he's a good shout to replace Buttler at the top at some point, he's been opening for his county for a while now. Would also mean that we could consider a highly specialist keeper even if they end up coming in right down the order.

Also I think the steadying job by Brook and Bethell deserves a mention because at 2-2 after 8 deliveries that game could easily have got away from us. Neither got a big score but they did the exact job that was needed at the time, just a shame neither could go on and make a big score on the back of it but sometimes those 20-30 run innings can be hugely important in t20.

It was a very good win considering the position we were in.  That said,, chasing a relatively low score in T20 meant that a decent partnership could get us back into it even from that point.  Winning the three 'Super 8' games has been a good achievement, but the semis will be another step up.

I would have picked Rehan Ahmed for the recent Ashes series.

Leg-spin would have given the England attack something different -very few off-spinners are successful in Oz. Rehan 's batting would also have been an asset -he scored four tons in the county championship last summer.
