Yes but I don’t think you understand, we all had to wear the thong for one day. There is no choice it’s passed on bro to bro and only washed at the end of the tour.

😂

I've no problem with your thong* wearing, it's the constantly jinxing England every away Ashes series I object to.

*unless you are using "thong" to mean "flip-flops", in which case we can never be friends.
No flip flops for me. Even at the beach I have boots and calf length towel socks. Proper English me🪀

Flip-flops are fine for the beach. Sliders with socks (outside of a football dressing room) are an abomination.

It isn't flip-flops I was objecting to, but referring to said items as "thongs".

How are they allowed to that garbage snicko - it doesn’t work and should have been binned earlier in the series ….according to that the spike was as it passed Stokes elbow

They allow for a frame out on the snicking registering the contact.

It is garbage and shouldn't be used but Stokes definitely hit it. God knows what he was doing bumping fists with Root?

His batting is nowhere near good enough to be batting at 6

Should still never be used under any circumstance, if it’s that bad that it’s not aligned you can’t trust it has any accuracy whatsoever on whether there was indeed an edge or not.

Stokes’ batting has always been massively hit or miss, more a 6 because you can’t trust his body enough to bat him 7 unless you have a keeper in the top 6 to allow enough frontline bowlers to be picked.  I’d prefer him at 7 too

Oh not me. I meant thong as in thong. I had a thorough mental image of Aftab's arse.

In a farcical and pathetic tour, that shot from Smith is probably the moment that sums it all up

Indeed, a moronic innings, some class shots but ‘out’ off a new ball, awful shot that should have been caught the next ball & then to get out to such a dreadful shot to a pie chucker so close to lunch was brain dead.

BBC/TMS saying that 450 should still be the target despite being 7 down (now eight!)

Is the pitch THAT flat, and of so is a draw most likely?  Will batting last be more troublesome?

Very disappointing total in the end and they are making it look easy now.

Great from Root. Under par again though and bowling badly.
