Jof out of the series.

Blimey that bowling attack looks very light now.

The only England bowler that has been reliable and consistent, we look very lightweight now.

Hope it is more a case of a 'tactical' injury of sorts, as sadly I don't think there was any point in risking him in these two tests now, especially with a T20 World Cup coming up early in the new year.

I just wonder whether it's like Steve Finn on one of the tours before and his confidence has just completely gone.  Having a frank conversation and building a plan to properly develop spinners has to be one of the priorities after this series.

First thing is to get them playing, far too many promising young spinners get dragged to England squads to carry drinks when they should be left to play.

If Jofra's omission is tactical then I am immensely delighted that we are prioritising T20 over Test cricket.

Tactical is probably not the right phrase, but I could see the logic in it really if that is what has happened.  There is a fairly decent chance that he would get injured if he plays in the two remaining games and with the series now gone, I'm not sure it's worth the risk.
