Atkinson should be there instead of Carse

At his best I agree but Atkinson has been awful so far this tour.

Given what it’s expected to be like heat wise it’s absolutely mad they’ve got themselves into a place where their spinner is someone who hadn’t played for 3 years before this Test. It’s crazy Dawson was discarded, holding an end is of value.

There will likely be periods when it’s very flat, and in either the spin or seam department we don’t have a holding bowler. The only one who could do it is Archer, but obviously for a number of reasons you wouldn’t want to do that.

I'm expecting more of the same in this next match, England batsmen flailing at wide deliveries getting themselves out and our bowlers being bowled into the ground in extreme heat.

Cummins and Lyon back for the Aussies as well, at 1/2 odds for an Australian win that looks a steal.

We will have probably lost the Ashes in the next three days.
