You will be pleased to know that our squad out here retreated to Noosa heads resort to recuperate for few days, playing golf and a bit of surfing to prepare for the third test.

Thank goodness. It would be a nightmare if they overprepared again.

The only good news is that Olaf got to see a couple of tests before we had already lost the Ashes this time.

OTOH it meant he missed the Arsenal game. :(

I don’t really have an issue. They’ve played some competitive cricket now - far from ideal outcome in that cricket, but they have miles in the legs. Refreshing with more than a week to the next game is sensible.

Haha…you’re both right. We are still in it and missing Arse game was hard but I have seen us play and win Leeds, wolves, Albion and Arsenal so a decent trip😊

Tongue for Atkinson is the only change. That would concern me from a control perspective, but given how we’ve bowled the last three innings it probably is worth the risk.

It’s a shame for Bashir, but he just hasn’t done anything to push his case. I do worry about spin, but I would have felt the same had Bashir played.

I wish Dawson was there. I think he would have been a good option.
