Let's see, getting a right hander on makes a huge difference, Carse looked much more threatening immediately.

There is no control here at all. I still cannot get over how dense Pope, Brook, and Root were.

I wonder if the talk around Root not getting a hundred in Australia has got to him. His was particularly poor.

Head taking down Stokes now as well.

This day will define the series.

Strange really. Everything in Englands favour - no Cummins, no Hazelwood, a disrupted Aussie top order - a seam attack that was the best we could muster, a series draw against India, a 40 run first inning lead, 65-1 … and they find a way to f*** it up in two hours.

Oh well. On to Brisbane… where our record is even worse than at Perth.

And pink ball which they always win.

Brook, Root, and Pope’s inability to realise what was crucial has absolutely ended us.

Atleast Pope has looked good in both innings and Brook plays his shots. Root I have no sympathy for.

One of those strange tests where the ball stops being a hand grenade and the pitch turns into a docile puppy. We have been very disjointed but Head is class.

Going back over the two innings, it will be interesting to see how many of the England batters got themselves out or were out through great bowling.

100%. They take the bulk of the blame for me. If we'd have got to 30 overs 2 wickets down the match was there for the taking

The majority of England players got themselves out. Australia didn't really need to bowl that well in either innings.

Yeah. Why'd the bowling turn into dibbly, dobbly and wobbly? It's not like they were in the field for any length of time in the first innings.

Shocking capitulation by the middle order.
3 out playing exactly the same stroke.
