England need a little bit of luck here. The Aussies had 2 lbw’s given to them in the 1st innings clipping leg stump and obviously the caught behind of Smith. If you’re taking 4 minutes then maybe stay with the on field decision.

But we’re lacking the same zip at the start of this innings as we had. Batsmen haven’t helped our bowlers at all.

Atkinson and Archer just trying to "put" the ball there so far. No intensity, no belief.

This feels very much like the chance has gone.

Yep, and it'll be on record as win by a lot of wickets too. Yesterday's bowling rendered pointless.

Oh well, at least needn’t bother getting up tomorrow morning.

Lost 20 wickets in less than 70 overs in this match. It is completely and utterly unacceptable the way they have played and thrown wicket after wicket away. Particularly against an Australian attack missing Hazelwood and Cummins.

This match was there to be won. Lose this and it feels very much like a 5-0 battering incoming.

We need a miracle now. The bowlers are throwing down pies at the moment. Understandable that the intensity has completely gone.

The problem this morning is a very simple one, they've opened with 2 lefties and we're struggling to get the line right to them. We did the same in the summer a few times as well.

We’ve totally fucked this match up from being in a good position. Batting has been atrocious.

The batting collapse today will define the series. They’ve given it all to Australia, giving it away from position we were in is so bad.

The bowling is all over the place now.

The fact we’re bowling short with no slips within 10 overs tells you everything.

We’re not beating the bat now. This pitch suddenly looks benign. I think that pathetic batting effort has knocked the stuffing out of us.

These tactics are mental - you can’t buy a wicket with short ball bowling when you’ve got no runs to defend.
