Gutless from the batsmen again. 3 wickets just thrown away to the cover drive on a pitch where Stevie fucking Wonder can see you just put that shot away.

The bowlers must be absolutely furious after their heroics to just watch these absolute frauds throw it away

The Duckett wicket is a really good ball. The Pope, Brook, and Root ones are all loose drives, particularly the Root one. We have really handed this right back to them. We need a couple of big partnerships. Smith looks like he might nick it any moment. I still don’t know what a good score on this pitch is

Stokes and Smith are barely hanging in here - those three shots from those above them have completely changed this.

I think the Pope, Brook and Root shots are all indefensible in all honesty.

It is patently clear that the cover drive is a big no no on this pitch with the bounce on offer. All 3 have just gifted their wicket. Australia haven't had to bowl well to get back on top.

And there’s Stokes, this is nearly done.

Stokes and Duckett got good balls. Pope, Brook and Root all threw their wicket away. Lost 16 wickets in 57 overs across the 2 innings. Simply unacceptable.

It is asking way too much of our bowlers to drag the batsmen out of the hole again.

I wonder if we’ll make 34 overs this time.

Have VAR officials taken over for it to take that long?

I didn't have the volume on so don't know what the third umpire was saying but it looked to me like the snick was after it had passed the bat and glove with quite a large gap at that point.

I'm amazed it was overturned on the basis of the evidence available. I think Smith probably did hit it though. When Australia reviewed he started walking off (not that that should have had any bearing on the 3rd umpires decision)

Both of you I believe are correct.
