Problem is that’s a brilliant over, but we need them about 20 of those overs in a row.

It is worth noting that their runs have mostly come when they've been more aggressive, with the defensive play not really helping them keep wickets in hand. This pitch is a lot like the ones they used to produce at Durham where just enough happened for batsmen to never be settled so you have to score whilst you have the chance.

Think I'd get Jof back on now and try to skittles a couple more.

10k short of sell out.
Odd considering in Oz the Ashes is bigger than the Olympics,  World Cup and Christmas combined.

I imagine that days two and three will be sell outs as it’s the weekend. Unless we come out on top then we could see scenes like at the MCG in 2010 when the Aussie public suddenly decided they didn’t like cricket after all.

7 down now, still 50 behind. As FS Trueman would say, what's going on out there?

This is the most wickets taken in a day of an Ashes Test since the Old Trafford Test of 1909 where both teams were all out in the same day.

Awesome performance in the field today by England but what a crazy day of test cricket. At the close it’s an aggregate score of 295-19
