I think hold for now. Woakes and Carse can bat and it’s not easy. They need to eke out what they can, I reckon 220+ might start to get tough. That’s a long way off, but they need to be smart.

The English bowling is nowhere near as good as the Indian bowling and compared to the Indian top six its men and boys. Let’s be honest India have dominated almost every session of every test match and only two terrible collapses at Headingley stopped them winning that game.

England need to defend 300 minimum in a day. If it’s 220 it’ll be all over by tea tomorrow with England looking at the poor structure of their selection policy (where’s the Crawley Pope replacements?).

Hope I’m wrong.

If England are to have any chance they have to target the stumps.

An awful day today. Some decent bowling from India, but India will knock these off fairly comfortably. Our only chance is to get 4/5 wickets with the new ball.

Which could well happen with shots like that.

Oh, never mind, we’re bowling full, despite what they’ve just seen in rest of the day.

England just don’t bat enough time on consistent enough a basis.

Also our bowling is not creating pressure at all.
