Stokes saying "conditions favoured India" is a bit pathetic considering we are home team and its known that these sort of pitches are what the setup ask the grounds for.

India deserved this emphatic win. They basically won all 5 days, an outstanding performance. For England only Brook and Smith came out with any credit.

Bit harsh given there were some other contributions.  No getting away from it though, it was a thrashing and the next test is coming up very quickly.  The mentality of the set up seems to be a shrug of the shoulders after a defeat and on to the next one, so we'll see.

Think they'll stick with the same batting line up, but we'll see some changes in tje bowling.  Would be very surprised if Archer doesn't start this one.

I worry about Jof, such a talent, but after this game it’s a lot of pressure.

It's not so much the pressure that's tbe main concern, it's whether his body will.hold up.  He's obviously got his own motivations, but if I were him then I'd probably consider the T20 circuit with the much reduced workload that entails at this point.

Oh he is the captain, so it's his choice.

First game as captain, must have been worried about accusations of selfishness. Pace he was going, surely it wasn't a problem from the match perspective.

Yeah, seems odd. It's only day two and it's only Zimbabwe. Not like losing half an hour would have cost them the match. Unless it's forecast to piss down.

Possibly his future proofed worst decision. It's only the second day and it's not as if Zimbabwe are going bat more than 30 overs in each innings.

Who contributed anything positive for England besides Smith and Brook?

Seems extremely odd to be honest to the point of it being inexplicable really.  They're only on day 2 of 5 and have already just bowled Zimbabwe out.

Quite staggering that the only change is Archer for Tongue.

Woakes and Carse look out on their feet even if you forgive them very poor form
