First team in first class history to win a match when the other team had 5 centurions, that's mental.

Composed, confident, methodical. Fantastic 4th innings performance. Has to be up there with England’s most controlled and sensible chases.

Brilliant win
Didn’t expect that.
Thought it had ‘draw’ written all over the way it was going.

I though there would be a result - but I thought it would be a basball type lose where we tried to force the pace too much.

but we played it brilliantly - such control in achieving such a large chase.  We could be on the verge of having a very, very good team.

I worry about our bowling attack, but as a batting unit - we look brilliant and settled

I don’t really worry about the bowling attack. There’s plenty there and it’s clearly a pitch that favoured the bat. Spin is light, and I think it’s good to develop Bashir but their focus is a bit myopic.

I've only seen the highlights if today but Duckett's 149 was impressive despite some confusing India bowling decisions and it being on a fairly lifeless pitch for a 5th day of a test match.

Another incredible win for England under the leadership of Stokes and McCullum.  That I thought they even had a chance going into this morning speaks volumes of their approach.

Been thinking about it this evening and I think it's how quickly they put on the runs in these incredible run chases that really flips the pressure on to the opposition.  As good as they are, the Indians have a tendency to melt in the field when the opposition are on top.and so it proved today.

Sets the series up really well.

I think the spin options are why they'd like to get Bethell in near the top. Him and Root add at least some backup.

Fantastic win, this team never know when they're beaten. Stokes and McCullum have made mammoth 4th innings chases the norm.

Australia are getting rolled in the Windies at the moment. I’m sure it’ll change, but nice to see.

Batting is callow though and already 2 down. Lovely to see Shai Hope back in the Test side though, playing wicket keeper. He’s a brilliantly talented player, and has proven that in ODI’s. Great to see him playing Test cricket.

I’m not getting carried away with our prospects in the Ashes, this Aussie side is in transition but just as we dominate at home they do too, so do India. I’d love to see us win the Ashes down under but it’s unlikely.

Australia without Smith and Labuschagne look a bit soft. Both will be back for the ashes.
