It seems they’ve lost patience with Ollie Robinson. It’s been quite a fall from grace for him.

Conceding 43 runs in a over at County level should mean he's barred from ever representing England again, and that's before you think of him being unfit to bowl when selected before.

Yes although Bashir got taken apart recently too, so it’s not been the most auspicious time.

West Indies at home seems the sort of match you can gamble in tbf.

Maybe, although the Windies have some real talent (which is nice to see). England need to start winning as well. They’ve been tough series, but they haven’t won one for 18 months.

I'm surprised at Woakes inclusion. He's barely played in 8mths.

Happy to see Pennington included….hopefully he has a long and prosperous test career & Moores gets to see very little of him in a Notts shirt

There’s a rather affecting piece on Anderson by Moeen in the Guardian.

Ha, classic, so many good balls pass the edge this morning then a loosener from a newbie gets scythed into the stumps. Good start from Gus!

And a second! This one a classic sliding delivery across the southpaw, thick wedge of bat hoops it into Crawley in the slips. Good stuff.

Good start, Atkinson has the wickets but Woakes and Anderson looked dangerous towards the end of their spells when the ball started doing something.

A good morning for England, particularly after not taking a wicket in the first hour.

The Windies batting line up is weak but their bowling line up is much better so getting them out relatively cheaply should be easy enough.

Agreed, we really should be looking at batting today, tis pair in now have really struggled to get anything away and are clearly struggling with the slope.
