I went to Deepdale as a lad when Tom Finney was in his pomp.  In the intervening period Deepdale has gone through Astroturf and flatpack makeover phases.  It is now an historic football history site in a middle class suburb.  Not a proper pub or chip shop  within (old bloke) walking distance.

Us Two them Ought  as my father used to say.

I used to work not far from Deepdale, it's not middle class found there Brian.  Rough as a badger's arse. And there's a chippy the other side of Blackpool Road.

I used to live in St Anthony's Rd, that's the first road past the park on your way into town.  Burgled 3 times in 2 years and had bottles thrown at me on more than one occasion... define middle class??
I like Deepdale, one of the locals in my pub was a major sponsor, so spent many a happy afternoon in the box getting drunk and feeling smug about heating.  1-4 the villa Hourihane, Abraham, Chester, Abraham.  I have a dream.

Well at least this time when we play Preston, we won't be changing manager afterwards.
1-4 to the Villa, Whelan to score a penalty ;)

We seem to have been a lot more defensively solid away from home recently (only conceded 2 in the last 4 away games and they were both at Albion) so hopefully we can continue that and get a convincing win tomorrow.

Good observation. So, why are we so leaky at VP?

Had a dream last night we won 4-0, but I think it may have involved Swansea rather than Preston.  Anyway, Preston 0 Villa 4.

Sandwell is only a few miles from VP - it might be the poor air quality.

At home we seem to be prepared to keep the wingers forward and allow their wingers to play 1 v 1. Plus our two attacking midfielders seem to empty the midfield earlier.

That's how it looks to me anyway.

And one of those goals was "an illegal".

Leaving shortly to pick up 3 other Bournemouth Lions. Let's keep the good away form going. UTV
