Games coming thick and fast. Get this one kicked off.

I'll go 3-1 Villa - Tammy, Anwar and McGinn

Was at Preston today & they were terrible.

Not predicting anything because I know how that goes.

Villa win 1-3

Abraham x 2, Chester.

I hope McGinn keeps his nose clean and stops getting stupid bookings.

agreed. He got one the other day for throwing the ball away and today for something he didn't need to say to the ref. I love his passion and energy but it's not good to us if he's suspended watching the game from the stands.

I would sooner have John McGinn picking up cards than Westwood being neat and tidy.

Me too,  Brian , but Westwood would have done well in this team under this manager I think.

Preston have done us enough favours over the last few seasons, let’s beat them this time.

Key players missing for Preston:

Tom Clarke
Ben Davies
Ben Pearson
Louis Moult
Callum Robinson
Sean Maguire

That's two defenders, their best central midfielder (although Alan Browne is in good form) and three forwards.

Think it will be the same as last season and we'll win by two clear goals, 1-3.

3-1 to the good guys. Much like us playing Forest is the rarity of 2 former Champions of Europe playing each other in the second tier, i'm guessing that us v Preston is the only fixture former double winners have played each other in the second tier, certainly in this country.

When we talk about fans of long suffering clubs I always think PNE fans are forgotten in all the debates.

They last played top flight football in the mid 60s. In last 20 years they've failed 4 times to get up through the play offs to premier league (lost the final twice) and seen in recent times other forgotten 60s teams like Huddersfield, Burnley and Blackpool all play top flight football. And Wigan.

Nice away day anyway. Good town and big away allocation which we've sold out yet again.
