I’m hoping given our recent goalkeeping challenges from high balls and crosses we’re all happily singing “Lovre’s in the air”

The club had to decide which Croatian to buy  - the under 21 keeper with the same first name was also considered - we were torn between two Lovres

Won't make much difference in his case as Croatians still needed work permits anyway. I would imagine any players already here will be exempt from further restrictions but who knows.

Croatia have been in the EU since 2013 or 2014 so no work permit needed until Brexit possibly
.

Not true. Unlike the rest of the EU, Croatians require work permits as Britain decided to deny them free movement. Hence why we didn't sign him in 2016.

Edit: this is no longer true. As of June this year Croatians are treated the same as the rest of the EU, so no work permit required.

We can sign him any time, just can't transfer the registration until the window.
