Given Sawiris has already hinted in interviews his frustration that the Premier League likes to cater for a chosen few, I really hope this doesn't make them think about selling up.
It's very annoying to get bullied by the PL/Spurs, but i think we will play better on a Friday night than a sunday lunchtime (just me personal view).

I'd say it's pretty much nailed on now. Nas will sell up as soon as the season ends with Unai following him out the door the next day, and the project will be in tatters. We'll be taken over by asset strippers who'll sell all our best players, relegation will follow, and by 2026/27 we'll have to endure the ignominy of playing tinpot clubs like Blose in the Championship (if they stay up). All in all, absolutely devastating news after the progress of the last 6 years.

We didn't get bullied. There was not much of an issue moving the game when it had already been moved from 3pm on Saturday due to the cup final. Bringing it 24 hours back or forward is neither here nor there. It would have been petty minded and lacking in class to insist on playing it on Sunday.
Had it been the other way round we’d have been asking for the same - it would have been totally wrong of the PL to have effectively given Man Utd such an advantage against a fellow PL team in a European final. The whole issue is entirely the fault of the PL and Sky and such a scenario should have been planned for and fans should never have had such a late change put on them. What would also have been unfair, and we’d have moaned about, would be having to play the Spurs game on the Weds night before the FA Cup final had we been in that. Due to Spurs playing Sunday because of their semi final in Norway this Thursday. With it looking like half the PL playing in Europe next season there are going to be bigger problems then. For me we’re at the stage now where either we reduce the PL to 18 clubs (no chance, turkeys don’t vote for Xmas) or teams playing in Europe should not be included in the League Cup.

All PL games were slated for the Sunday at the start of the season to keep FA Cup Final day free. It was then moved from 4pm to 2.15 (or 7pm) before being moved again with less than a fortnights notice to help one club, following a request from us for the same consideration earlier in the season being turned down. It's shit for the fans who have already made travel plans and it demonstrates double standards by the PL.We buy our tickets knowing full well that games will be moved but there needs to be a minimum notice period. The new ko time suits me far better, but that's not really the point.
Erm, given the title of this thread is the Villa versus Tottenham game actually on the telly?
Given the staggered kick off times I assume it will be.
