Given Sawiris has already hinted in interviews his frustration that the Premier League likes to cater for a chosen few, I really hope this doesn't make them think about selling up.

Don't be ridiculous.

Fixture changed and honestly, not happy. But it could be even worst. We really pushed -everyone in the club at different levels- with solid and fair grounds to protect our fans ( our main task and duty) and keep the Spurs match on Sunday. Nothing against Spurs. Considering the alternatives ( much worst Wednesday or Thursday) and the process conducted, the final outcome to play on Friday is the less damaging we could  get  Why? EPL wanted both English teams ( potential but not confirmed yet UEL finalists) have more and equal rest. Saturday was better but FA didn’t accept any match on Saturday ( FA Cup final protection). And it was not considered never to move Chelsea- United to Sunday and then match it with our original fixture, because FA Women’s Final on Sunday was colliding and both clubs involved didn’t want to go Sunday. And then the truth is SKY helped us to go Friday and not to go earlier in midweek. At the end, it is what it is. Hopefully in the future all of them would remind the clear prejudice in this case to Villa fans and will be consistent and equally supportive, if we need changes to help us in Europe ( If hopefully we are there). We didn’t feel this support last season or this one. European football is not only demanding for English clubs just on the verge of the finals. Now we need to accept and create the best atmosphere we can for our team. Remain confident: we did and will do everything for AVFC. Thanks for your support and loyalty. UTV!!

Seems like they did compromise a bit then. Friday is at least a bit better than Thursday, especially for school-age kids.

It's very annoying to get bullied by the PL/Spurs, but i think we will play better on a Friday night than a sunday lunchtime (just me personal view).

Not happy given the double standards shown by the PL, especially in the light of our failed protest when the Liverpool game was shoehorned into February.  Fans & the club will have made a million plans, plus any lap of honour will bigger up many a public transport plan.

Nothing would be funnier than Spurs to get dumped out by Bodo too.

However, Spurs being in the final might still mean they send the kids no matter what day the match is played.  That has to be an advantage for us.

As DV says in his statement, let’s hope the same privilege is extended to us in future, although I do fear this’ll open a real can of worms.

Superbly put by Damian

Respectfully accepts a wank decision,

Calls them out as unsupportive tossers for not helping us this season.

Marks their card for next season.

My brother for one is happy with this. He goes away on the Sunday so would have missed it.

& for anyone travelling from a distance. So
Much better not to have a night game with work the next day when you have a long trip home.
