For those watching on Amazon tonight
Prime Video's scoreboard will have 5 white dashes above each of the team's names. Those markings represent substitutions for each team.

When will the February games get announced?  Would like to get over for the Forest game but don't want to start booking flights and hotels until I know the date for the game.

Think that’s another Amazon week isn’t it.

Probably going over old ground, but it really seems that 'live' fans are getting more and more of a short shrift in favour of the sofa crowd in the new deal with the prospect of wall-to-wall TV football ever more likely (what it does to family life can only be guessed at). TV demands and chaotic transport arrangements result in anyone supporting their club from afar are the main victims of this. (I come up from London, as do loads of Villa fans judging by the colours of those milling around Euston Station on match days). I’d like to know the percentage of fans who do not live within a 10-mile radius of Villa Park and I suspect it’s the majority. My last week as a 'loyal' long-term supporter shaped up like this. Man City - 8.15 kick off, too late to get home before the early hours and after the tubes, so having lost my first hotel booking for which I paid upfront in August when the match was scheduled for the 5th December before being moved to the 6th, I booked a hotel last minute near New Street. Also worth a mention, though not only the fault of the scheduling was the Arsenal 5.30 kick off on Saturday with trains and stations rammed and utterly chaotic scenes at New Street trying to get a train back home. So, for the next home game, Sheffield Utd on the Friday before Christmas at 8pm, on the eve of probably the busiest weekend of the year, my resolve finally cracked in the light of anticipated travel carnage, and I’ll be forced to join the sofa crowd. And now it seems that it’s going to get worse. Our beloved manager always lauds the importance of our loyal supporters. That loyalty is being increasingly stretched to the limit from all angles for someone who attended his first game in 1962 with the likes of McParland and Hitchens playing and who is now forced to assess the chances of attending a great game against the nightmare scenario of getting to and from the venue. What are the options? Give up my season ticket? I love the camaraderie created by the same bunch of people coming together every two weeks or so. I love my seat (MM184 Doug Ellis Upper), the view, the atmosphere of a home game (‘and it’s LIVE’), the whole match-day experience, which is systematically being chiselled away by greed. I can’t go to the away games in London (seven at the last count) because I lost my history a couple of years ago, so my only live football is at Villa Park. I’m sure there are others reading this thread with similar experiences as mine. And there is nothing we can do about it.

I'd try Finnegan's Wake before tackling that post.

Too bloody right.Midweek games are becoming an ordeal to get back from, but probably the most atmospheric. It seem us Villa fans come alive when it gets dark.Insert your own innuendo.
Armchair/sofa fans seem to be the priority.

Definitely the same for me since I’ve moved up north Martin. It’s got worse and worse.

I think the most annoying thing is having loads of Sunday games because of the Europa League, but the TV companies not choosing those but choosing other games for a Sunday KO, so we hardly ever have a game on a Saturday.

I honestly think that one of my main motivations for Champions League now is to play more games on a Saturday!

It's absolutely scudded my participation in early sunday evening over 45's football.

You'd probably have been able to finish it in the time it took me to get home Saturday BE.

Stream of consciousness, dear boy - Not quite to Finnegan's Wake level (ref BE post).

Basically every weekend from now on as Sky and TNT clamour for magic dust from our miracle season.
