Arsenal always seems to be half 12 Saturday these days.

I did fancy us to get something off them but if we're playing Man. City at 8.15pm on the Wednesday there's going to have to be some rotation. Can't say Chambers v Saka and Donk v Odegaard would end that well for us but you never know.

Wasn't there a rule introduced that teams playing Weds nights, will not have to "go again" early the following Saturday ? I think it was meant to be for European games but what's the difference between  a home European or league game?

Yes for CL if you play away somewhere you can request Saturday 8pm. That dosen't apply to europa league though.....

Hopefully we're not 8pm v Arsenal though as I've got tickets to see the Used at the Academy at that time to get in my Emo/Post-Punk fix before Christmas so would be annoying.

Half 5 seems the obvious time.

Or the dreaded 12.30 slot on TNT.

Produced two of our best performances in the last 15 years at VP, 3-0 v Newcastle and 6-1 v Brighton.

You can prove anything with facts.

Premier League sticks to Sat 3pm TV blackout but every other match will be live on television from 2025-28 - All 10 matches on final day of the season live on TV (simultaneously) - 270 of the 380 games live (up from 210)

The planning  will see a new 6.30pm Sunday kick-off time as part of the next TV rights deal. All Sunday matches being made available by which would force fans to adapt to a variety of kick-off times throughout the day.
The new kick-off times on Sunday, as well as additional Friday and Monday slots, would reportedly appease broadcasters and clubs.

6.30pm on a Sunday, fucking hell, terrible. 4.30pm is more than bad enough.

Might appease broadcasters and clubs but what about the fans that are being messed about constantly with stupid kick off times.
Where will it end?

I know that there are plenty of London clubs in the premier league, but it does seem the majority of Saturday and Sunday teatime games are London clubs at home, would expect the same with the Sunday 6.30 slot too

I haven't seen the 6.30 Sunday KO slot confirmed anywhere, I had heard it suggested a while back. The other changes were on Twitter yesterday but not this one.

Ridiculous decision if true.
That's a 9.30 return home for me and I'm not that far from VP.

I read that there were no additional timeslots so not sure the Sunday 6:30 one is true

Beeb has this
Quote
The Saturday afternoon 3pm blackout will remain in place but every 2pm Sunday kick-off will be televised.

In the new deal, five midweek rounds will be available instead of the current four, while the Saturday 12:30pm and 5:30pm and the Sunday 2pm and 4.30pm stay in place, along with the 8pm Monday or Friday slot.

Nowt about Sunday evenings. But then it doesn't mention Saturday nights either, and there's a game at 8 this coming Saturday.

The game on Sat night is dependent on the CL schedule so isn't a set slot.

I'm seeing a band at the local on Sat but with Newton Heath playing at 8 and the dreadful Toryfest of the rugby on I'll have to stare at the floor until 10pm.

There's talk of matches being moved to Xmas Eve this year, it falls on a Sunday. The last time a match was played then was in '95, Leeds V Newton Heath. I remember it very well because while I was watching the girl I was seeing decided it was the perfect time to phone and give me the sack.

Anyway, I'd wager our game is unlikely to move, Sheffield Utd at home should stay where it is I would've thought.

The same situation is mooted for NYE but I don't think games that day are particularly unusual.
