My sky/BT sports for October has gone from £25 to circa £70 if I paid for our 3 PPV games. I believe Liverpool and Man City only have one PPV game each for October.

I cancelled Sky when we moved house, and for watching football now just pay about £30 for 6 months subscription to a dodgy service that has every game.

I read that the money is going directly to the clubs not sky or BT?  Isn’t it to make up for lost match day revenue?

As a pensioner 15 quid a match is more than I pay with my season ticket but obviously without the experience of actually being there.  I'll be exploring other methods of seeing these matches and if that doesn't work I won't bother.

There's a real danger with this that fans just learn to do other stuff at a weekend and this could have long term impact on attendances.

It’s not going to sky or BT though is it?  Genuinely at the risk of not getting it it’s a sport that we would ordinarily pay for isn’t it?  It’s only those matches they wouldn’t be on live normally.  The clubs are losing Millions a month in lost revenue.

Oh I know yeh but we know we are lucky enough to be funded by squillionaires.  But even they want us to be self sufficient.
