The problem being is what will we do in a couple of seasons time when his legs have started to go? We need to bring in someone to follow him and play the last 15/20 minutes to gradually take over his place. Most important is the mentality that he brings to raise the momentous of the team and make them step up their momentum.

A true legend he gives us a unique identity.
We will never replace him and we shouldn’t even try.

58% win rate when he plays, 25% win rate when he does not, according to Tanswell on X.

We have missed Kamara, we missed Tielemans but again he has proven to be our most important player.
Player of the season.

Genuinely think he is playing better than ever before, and he was always fucking awesome. While it annoys us, I suspect Unai managing his minutes plays a big role.

Anyway, Brazil are fucking terrified.

Think he has 7 goals and assists in his last 7 Villa Park appearances. Seems to have really improved in this aspect of his game this year (and he was always awesome).

He actually getting better, his first touch and skill level to beat players is improving.

Incredible. I think we’ll be talking of him in the future as the best ever.

Ran much of the game yesterday. Brilliant to see. Interchange with Cash was key point - also dropping deeper and inside meant Emi had the outball to Cash option

I’ve always thought Kamara was our most influential player but it’s McGinn isn’t it
I still think Kamara is our best player but we miss McGinn more than any other outfielder player

He's unique, there's not another player around like him. The beauty of it is how Emery has taken those unique characteristics and exploited them in a way I doubt any other manager would have done.

Come on, who else is putting a team together three years ago and putting John McGinn on the right wing?

Remember the form he was in before Emery took over. He completely revitilised him. Such an enjoyable player to watch.

With McGinn you can see what he does in a game, with Kamara you don't.  Both indispensable and I love the pair of 'em.

Gerrard got the captaincy call right, even if he made a total mess of the process. Just incredible influence on then team, close to proper legend status. A cup win and it will confirm it.

Kamara is our best player - like Rodri with Cit-eh.
