I did see the video following the nutritionist around and he asked if he could have a deep fried pizza.

He didn't mean in the Mordorish Corstorphine chip shop way. He's been talking to Gilmour and McFratəmə, and they've set him onto the amazing, unbelievable, barely credible foodstuff that is the pizz' fritt', which is too delicious to be unhealthy.

I'm shattered and bereft to see such an ugly, West End, shite chips, fathell word on this once-mighty-twice-naughty-ooh-I-will-if-you-will communication portal. I've a good mind to send a letter to Ludovic Kennedy.

I then mentioned the best food from the best neighbourhoods (Forcella, Pendino etc) of the best city beloved of history's best player, Diego Maradona. And I did this with you in mind. And I'm feeling underappreciated, to tell you the truth.

It's just...I was a good looking young man in those mid-1990s, and the women of Edinburgh were/are famously hospitable after the briefest of meetings on a dancefloor. If I closed the door of a fast black at 3.30am and heard the words Gorgie, Dalry or the C-word I'd be crestfallen. After a while. Thanks for thinking of me with your pizz though mate.

I've only been to Corstorphine once. I woke up there, with genuinely no idea how I'd got there, in some bed by myself with some dingy air and no battery on my phone and the sounds of Futurama coming through from some other room. I was so embarrassed I ran out without saying hi or bye or anything to anyone. It was only when I got on a bus that I realised where I was, and I didn't like it. Sanità is a much, much better place.

You hadn't wandered into the plot of Trainspotting, had you?

God, how we've missed him. I love how he spun around the centre circle like a bull, head down and arse out to protect the ball.

Should force the rest of them to watch that clip on repeat on flight home. Solid cameo from McGinn on his return.

Back onto the right for Man United.
