He looks so young and fresh-faced there at the time of his signing

Or is it that I look older and tireder than I did then?  :'(

I'm sure you're just as beautiful now as you were then 🙂

If there’s two years left on the contract, I wouldn’t do anything.

Look again at the end of the season

Would hope he isn't open to moving hence Everton thinking they could chance their arm.

Seems an odd bid really, relegation candidates trying to buy our captain. Hopefully Johnny's camp just trying to wangle a few extra quid into a new contract with us.

I do think we're beginning to sound like wankers when dismissing clubs like Everton.

Not suggesting we should expect to lose players to them any time soon, but they're a proper club with a new stadium and looking down on them is the kind of thing we (rightly) hate fans of other clubs for.

They can’t have Super John McGinn, though.
No matter how cuddly they are.

No, of course SJM would never want to go to those arm-flailing tosspots, and we wouldn't sell him to them, either 🙂

Bollocks to that, I look down on every club who aren't called Aston Villa.

If the Grealish to Everton on loan is true, then I can see why they would also want SJM,

Would have been nicer of them to tempt Ross Barkley back instead though and give us a double figure sum

Maybe Grealish has told Everton to get McGinn as part of his move there.

Maybe McGinn's agents are just looking for a better deal.

I love McGinn but I'd be tempted to sell him if we got a decent offer.

Trouble is a decent offer for us would be £50m plus.

Yeah, a classic case of his value to us being far in excess of his potential value to anyone else.
