My MOTM, he is the driving force of this team.
Can any one think of a player you would swap him for right now?
No nor me.

He’s playing at a world class level this season.  Last night he was sensational.

There are a couple of midfielders doing as well as he is, in Kamara and Luiz, but well bugger me, they're ours as well.

He was world class lastnight. Probably up there with one of the best performances by a Villa player in my 45 years

An absolutely class performance last night from my favourite Villa player for a long long time. I love the way that he just powers through and is afraid of nothing and no one. Glorious.

His arse is sensational, what a player, when he plays well we win. Love him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - his backside should have it's own squad number.

His close control and precise passing is so unappreciated because he’s just not a glamorous player. But he does things that if was South American, Spanish, Italian, even English there would be so much more conversation about him.

His little shuffle to disguise the perfect pass for the Torres chance was sublime. I rewound it back several times to watch and I still couldn't tell when he was going to release the ball it was disguised so well, and so perfectly weighted.

The more I see of him performing like this I feel as though we’ve screwed Hibbs over well and truly.

I don't like to go overboard, but when SJM plays like that he is bordering on world-class.  Utterly dominant and unplayable.  He must do a lot of gym work as his strength on the ball is something to behold.

He's reminding me of the way Gerrard used to play for Liverpool at the moment. He's been superb.

When he has games like last night it looks as though he has the ball on a string. I lost count of the amount of times 3 or 4 players would descend on him and he just waltzed away from them all, still in possession. He was a different class.

Highlight for me was him dancing around Ederson just before that Konsa header.

Did a good job of putting him off for a cross he should have come for and caught easily

I like the way he positions himself "offside" when we have free kicks close to their goal,  it definitely distracts the keeper and other defenders, not knowing where he will go or do.
When he was distracting Ederson and Konsa's header went over, he had moved away and was completely unmarked towards the back post when the ball was played in.
