Not sure it was to was fit Bailey in, more to cover for Buendia's absence. Whatever the reason though, it was a terrible decision. It buggered up both sides completely.
Yep, I was surprised with the team selection and not surprised it didn't work.

When McGinn plays well, Villa play well.

Brilliant today.  Really good player for us.  Neat goal, lots of energy, good passing. Love SJM.

Amazing what a difference a game makes.

I'll admit I wasn't sure about picking him on the left again either, but he shoved that opinion down our throats.  A fantastic performance and he even had the energy to carry the St John's medical bag 40m when it was left on the pitch after the Coutinho injury.

Still pretty much the heartbeat of our team, not back for a £2.5m (ish?) player from Scotland. Got to be one of our best buys in a long time.

In terms of value for money I think McGinn is in the same bracket as David Platt and Paul McGrath.

Superb yesterday.

Going against popular opinion, I've never been a massive Mcginn (or Mings) fan. I always thought he's ok, but a bit limited, or on occasion, shit.

But he (and Ty) have absolutely forced humble pie down my throat. Since Unai joined, he (and Ty) has been magnificent. It's like watching a different player to the one I had to endure in the Premier League under Smith and that tosser Gerrard.

I sat yesterday and was shocked at how good he was. Long may it continue

Brilliant again, the heartbeat of the team. But we’ll supported by BouBoo and Doug.

He is going to go down as a true Villa legend.

To think, that Scouse git nearly ruined him last season.
