Just when I thought his performances had reached rock bottom — today topped everything. I used to really enjoy watching him play now I wince every time I see his name on the teamsheet.

Sell him while the greater football world thing he’s still good.

He was better today than last week, I thought he was ok first half today but disappeared second half.

Mainly because first half both teams appeared to have agreed on playing walking football. As soon as they upped the pace in tve second half we we were lost. The Luiz substitution that sent McGinn back to the right killed us and him.

Doug knew it was the wrong decision too. Sat there head in his hands. We lost all balance in midfield and they attacked at will down that side once McGinn moved to the right. Ramsey nor McGinn can play in this formation, neither has the discipline or awareness. Ramsey should be the spearhead of a 3 man midfield with 2 sitting deep and 2 wide forwards feeding a striker.
Yes wrong subs.Sitting in my sedate seat in the upper Witton End I normally never scream but I did today when Steven did what he did. Ramsey came on to play on the left but went awol when Rice ran through on the left and Kamara (MotM by the way) was forced to foul him and give away a dangerous free kick. And for the first time I must say I was totally disappointed with McGinn. I did not expect  him to stay on the oitch in the second half.

Agreed. It was obvious he'd been given instructions to shut down Rice and he did just that comfortably for most of the game. His passing was very hit or miss, some great moments immediately followed by some shocking passes.

I thought first half he was very good. We were all worried about the midfield being bullied before the game, but it didn't happen. His passing was good too. Second half, same old shit though, not helped by having Ramsey next to him. That lad has regressed alarmingly.

I thought were good without creating anything of significance and not even a proper shot on goal. How often did we really test the keeper. The most he did was pick the ball out of the net on an offside goal.

I agree Risso.  I actually thought he looked a bit more like his old self today and was a bit sharper in general.  Thought he tired as the game went in though, not helped by the fact that the formation requires him to constantly make up a considerable amount of ground to close down the opposition full-back.

He has been poor recently, but honestly didn’t think he was too bad today.

I thought he was very good first half but all the good work he did by and large was sadly in his own half…which he’s not really all about and why we signed him in the first place.

His shooting though, fuck me sideways it's abysmal. When was the last time a shot of his didn't smack somebody in the face at the top of the Holte?

Why does he run bent over at 45 degrees as well? It looks most odd.

Well I’d of thought Gerrard being the midfield legend that he is supposed to be our midfield would shine, but in fact everyone one of them have gone backwards.
