Indeed, give him some proper praise.  He is probably the best Scotland player for a decade.

The first time I've watched a Scotland match that hasn't involved England, EVER !

Another goal for a Scotland victory, 4 in 2 games for them. Hope he’s not too knackered!
Scored 2 more tonight. Congratulations to him. It's a double edged sword though as the media wankfest over him supposedly being wanted by Yanited will be in full swing now.

Our success in this league (and the last) is reliant on our thee best players in McGinn, Jack and Mings.  There is no way on Earth we will sell any of these players mid-season.

It matters not a jot what the media say, I can't see NSWE wanting to sell our key players.

Relax; it just puts the price up -not that we're selling!

It's not easy for teams to cherry pick players these days. There's so much money in the Premier League that you just do what Leicester did with Maguire. If you want him, it will cost you £80m otherwise go away.

However, if you have assets like McGinn, Mings and Grealish they do have a price and if idiot clubs like United want to splash the cash and pay it then fine. For me it’s how you then reinvest that money that’s important, something Leicester have done very well with the Maguire money. I’m more confident that our whole ownership and management at the club know when the right time to cash in is and how to then reinvest. However it’s a moot point currently as we’re nowhere near that point currently.

I think if you were offered silly money for Mings and McGinn, you'd be able to replace them without too much bother.  Grealish is different though, I don't think we'll see his like at Villa again, he's a once in a generation sort of player.

Fair comment Riss, I’d agree with that, which makes progression on the football front vital for the club as ultimately someone with Grealish talent could command silly money and silly wages within the next 18 months.

I agree, obviously Southgate doesn’t.
I do not think England produces this sort of player too often, closest thing to Gascoine I have seen.
Not saying he is or will be as good but i do see similarities.

Grealish's absence is similar to Sid's lack of call-ups.

I wouldn't sell McGinn, he's far too good to easily replace.

Agree.  All players are sold / leave at some point.  The trick is to do it at the right time, be that because the player is just beyond their peak and you can still get decent money, or because you have a ready made replacement that is at least as good and will cost you less.

At the moment, I don't care how much money we might get for Jack or McGinn, because selling them would completely burst the bubble on the fan / player good vibes and buying a replacement would be nigh on impossible.
