Yes but it’s not enough. £75 mill plus Tuanzebe. So basically we’d get Tuanzebe, Butland, Ming’s, Phillips for SJM with our war chest to replace McGinn still intact. I’d seriously consider that.

I’d hate to lose him. But if he goes , and  he will get attention, then this would ease the horrific pain.

But I’d rather he stay, get us up the league , and go as a hero ( more than he is now )

Probably his agent leaking stories to the press to inflate his salary during contract discussions

It's great to have owners that act as big as the club is. The grealish situation last summer should ease any worries that we'll be bullied into selling.

I think selling him would be a really stupid thing to do. Football isn't actually FIFA, you don't just replace one set of stats and attributes with similar ones and expect similar results - it takes time to build up understanding, teamwork, all that. We have enough of a team to replace already without gambling on replacing that.

If manure do bid for him he's almost certainly gone. When they come in for our best players we all know how it ends...

You never know. He seems to love us. And they aren't what they once were.

I am always wrong, but Man Utd. won't sign McGinn, and they'd be fucking stupid if they did. It reminds me me of when Man Utd. used to sign players like Neil Webb and Jesper Olsen. Oh for fuck's sake.

Our owners will tell them to do one! We can't afford to lose SJM.

Selling McGinn now would unnecessarily pop the good vibes bubble and considerably weaken us.  I don’t care how much they offer, the answer should be a resounding and definite no.

I thought this close season was going too well! That said, I’m not sure we’ll drop our trousers at the first bid we receive in early July. We’ll refuse this for sure then things could get interesting. Not that I want to sell him mind.

Exactly. Imagine if Spurs offer £85m for Jack at the same time. We have to draw a line, otherwise we'll be starting from scratch.

With the best will in the world, I don’t think we’ll be in a position to turn down £85m for one player. I know it’s hypothetical.

Our owners turned dow £25m for Jack in the Championship. No way they'll let McGinn go for £50m in the Premier League. But, £75m plus Tuanzebe, who knows?
