I'm going to walk his dog and mow his lawn. He shouldn't move a muscle his week.

He's already walked it 10 miles and mowed the Villa Park pitch while he was doing it.

2 yellows off three match ban concerns me.

I'd be resting him if he gets booked in either of the next two.

To win play offs we need him as much as Mings and Grealish.

Yeah I know its a right pickle and we could have done without him picking up that booking today. Bolton got tonked 4-0 by Derby so you'd think we'd have enough without McGinn to get the win and help send them down...but in Deano we trust :)

Bolton is as close to a gimme as you can probably get given the mess they are in which is why that's the one i'd rest him for. We can still bring him on if needed and still have Millwall a few days later. I agree that we need to have him for all the play-offs which is why I wouldn't be risking it unless we have no choice.

Ok so I here to provide the insight and bring things to attention. I like to think and getting people thinking and aware of things they hadn't considered.

So McGinn and his discipline is important to be aware of this as an issue and debate.
I see he was carded again v Blackburn in 77min
So What did John McGinn get book for this time??? The 12 time this season !
I love the guy but the fact is he keeps getting yellow cards is pretty shocking .
And it's annoying me !! so can't imagine what Smith and coaching team thinking as he is in danger of being suspended again

So people know if he gets just 3 more cards he ll be suspended for 3 matches . This happens when incur 15 yellows.
Now if he gets another 3 cards between now and Wembley he be suspended!! Yes the play off matches would be included and do we really see him not getting 3 more cards before the potential final?

I not sure if more bookings could be avoided so if people can shed light on his cautions especially today .
I'm aware he's combative also notice he does some pretty clumsy and awful attempts for tackles as much as being fouled a lot himself.

It's a shame as he's excellent in combative nature but too many yellows!
I laud him like many villa followers just have to say about his cautions!

Brilliant player but as I say it's annoying his discipline.
I already flagged this up at 12 bookings as many seem unaware.
So what was he booked for this time?
I asked on 12 bookings if was necessary his booking? No one deemed comment
And now I flag at 13 bookings and that he has got 4 matches regular season and another 2 matches before potential play off final. Not to receive any cautions .
And if he gets booked 2 more times he will miss 3 matches. Which I said before and was part of the reason I had to highlight.

So as I say Smith must be frustrated with this as Mcginn has by his own combative style and stupidity petulance at times- brings a difficult situation.
It's a major concern that SJM will be having a 3 match ban . I wonder if engineer this sooner rather than later . (I don't like that sort of skullduggery personally)
The matches and maths don't go. And its becoming a disastrous reality he'll miss at least one match of the playoffs!

I feel this scenario should have been prevented

We are all fully aware of McGinns booking issue footyskillz. It's also worth mentioning that it is believed that his booking won't roll over to the playoff-semis if we get there so it is understood that he only has 4 games to avoid 2 more bookings...I hope we're not wrong on that one but it seems correct reading the FA and EFL rules.

We win 8 in a row for the first time in over 40 years and all you can do is moan about McGinn getting booked. Fuck me you're a bundle of fucking laughs.

I'm in business of winning and seeing bigger pictures.
I suggest you recognize that it's a full season. Not an 8 match season
Yes 8 out of 8 is unbelievable !! Bloody super !
However our almighty leader and coach extrodinare Dean Smith would have same attitude -that have to focus on all things .

Anyway who wants to read the same stuff over and over again as we all aware that the mighty villa have won 8 out of 8.

I take your point though !

Do cards obtained in the regular season apply in the playoffs?

What worthy insight to quote yourself on. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

You certainly make me think.
