I'm not going to knock the guy too much, he's been great since he's been here. So, he may not overly effective in some games but you can't really expect him to be bossing the midfield every week. The effort he puts in never drops.

He's box to box. Reminds me of Townsend and Boateng in excellent villa teams in previous decades. Maybe even a touch of Milner but needs to add more goals to his game.

I'd just play him in Hourihane's position tbh but we need to get in a new DM (and also get Jack back) for that to happen.

SJM has been a steal and thank God it was us that acquired his services. The amount of effort he puts during a match in is phenomenal. Like others in this parish I would never criticise him, what I would suggest is he could do with another player along side him with the same work ethic

Tremendous again today. An example for our academy players to aspire to in terms of attitude and workrate.

Puts some of our senior players to shame.

Its something small but he is a guaranteed possession retainer from a throw in.

Just doesnt lose the ball and uses his arse to shield the ball expertly.

Over the past 10 years, he is part of a very small minority of our players that you could say that about.

Sad to say, but he needs to leave us asap as does Grealish.

Don't say it.  Much can change in football over a short period.  I only remember Wolves being uber shite . Now they are bang average.

Think he's far too deep.

All our best midfielders use their arse to great effect; Stan and Barry were the same.

Love everything he does but I wish he had not scored the worldly against Sheff Wed as in the context of the game it was a waste and now he keeps wasting good options by trying to repeat that.

A one man midfield doing the work of three. Expect burn out or an injury because of it very soon

Where on earth would we be without him and Abraham?

We’re a two man team.

Enjoy him while you can people. He’s way too good for this barrel of shite.

Good point.

We have give to give him more support and protection, otherwise it is likely to end badly. A decent DCM would help greatly as would wide players who are not on auto-pilot.
