I thought he looked like a distant Scottish Gardner brother but with talent.

If that fat ****** Wyness hadn’t fucked everything up it could’ve been Sunshine on Keith.

I love Villa, I really like Hibs, McGinn is wonderful. I didn’t see it because I’m in Turkish Cyprus with no wi-fi. I know how to holiday.

This is some list of players he's been compared to: Bremner, Cropley, Birchy, (Steve and Pat) Mcmahon, Deano, Carbone,  Milner, Westwood (wtf?), Alpay, Gardner

Great set pieces, plus a gorgeous cross for Kodjia (who completely muffed it) just before Wigan's second.

He also put in a superb whipped low cross in the first half but surprise, surprise nobody was there (Hogan would love him).
This guy is going to be awesome, premier quality already, absolutely superb debut!
Hope Hibs have a sell on clause because he will eventually go for big money!

Sounds defeatist. We have to build the team around him and Jack. These new owners are not here to mess around. We're talking Man City type wealth...

He reminds me of Gary Thompson.

I'm bracing myself for the mention of a player I was too young to, er, appreciate - Bernie Gallacccher.

His work rate and tenacity were a joy to behold. Clearly he’s very handy with the ball too.
What a bargain if that continues! We haven’t had many of them!

I wasn't quite as impressed as some on here, but it was his first game after only signing a couple of days ago.  One thing that I thought was impressive was his delivery into the box from both open play and set pieces.  Needs to be given time to settle in and there were definitely signs of encouragement, but I don't think we should be getting too carried away at this point.

I'm not getting too carried away, he was good though. Very much like a young Pele.

Woah, let's not get too ahead of ourselves.. he appears to be Scholes at best.

A Chinese Ian Ormondroyd was my first thought.

all pretty decent players on that list - Westwood a bit lightweight though...

I’m not getting carried away, but the “better than Zidane” songs were correct and he will win us the league, League Cup, FA Cup, Super Bowl, the Vitality Blast and the Cheltenham Gold Cup!
