Another shocker from McGinn today. Unable to do the basics. It's almost like his mind is elsewhere....

Wasn't long ago that the forum didn't want to sell for less than £50m. Now it seems we'd all give him away for free.

He has been in poor form and wasn't good today but he's still a good player.

That pirouette where he let that Harry Potter wanker rob him was embarrassing. He's also lucky that the Newcastle player stayed on his feet in the second half or he would have been off.

A desperate and woeful performance.

Personally I'd have driven him where he wants to go for £50m. If he continues like he is we'll be lucky to get half that in the summer.

There is no point since he has played for us that I wouldn't have happily taken a bid over £35m, which is at least £10m more than he is worth.

Struggles to turn in two consecutive decent performances and gives the ball away more than most.   Might be better with someone to do the more physical work alongside him but really missing something at the moment.  We love him for games and performances gone by, but hugely disappointing at the moment and I am beginning to questions whether he's hit his peak.

He’s another who seems to suffer a rotten run of form. He’s been doing this since he’s been here.

On his last few performances we'd do well to get £5 million for him

I think he's genuinely overrated. A fabulous bargain for 2.5m and has done well for us but really getting found out this season as he's not a top 8 player.

If we got anywhere near 45-50mill I'd definitely be cashing in and thanking him for his service.

I'd love to actually have a mobile, physical midfield with one player who can spray the ball around a bit in there. We never get a strangle hold in games because our midfield is not good enough. Windows later and we still dont have a CDM.

Don't like McGinn, don't understand his almost cult status amongst some fans.

I get that he was a big part of us being promoted, but in the Premier League, the way he performs in the majority of games, it doesn't warrant being included each game.

I'm amazed he appears immune to being dropped.

Needs to improve sharpish.

When the play goes through him everything loses a beat because he has to manoeuvre onto his left foot.

Bluntly, I don't think he's enough of an athlete for a top-half PL team. Most of his energy seems like it's spent on just enough conditioning to be a 90 minute player. His tricks are his hopeful left-footed through ball which comes off 50/50 but is deployed more regularly than desired because he doesn't have the legs or the skill to run with pace at a defence. His other trick - the bum roll/play for a free-kick is increasingly being found-out. He just doesn't have the technique required.

I really like him but he's made the most of his abilities and he at least needs to be rotated with other midfielders on our books, and probably relegated to the bench in the summer if we are to improve.

I also wonder about his physical condition.
