Fantastic news - welcome to the £70k a week club - hopefully Jack will take him to London with him in the next break now that John can afford those London prices

Great news.  Love this man and watching the opposition bounce off his backside.  Just wish he could rediscover his shooting boots to get back to the all round player he is.

Edit: before anyone reports me, this is not a dig at anyone’s sexual practices.

Great stuff. Needs to play at the levels of Fulham away and Liverpool at home.

Class is permanent though so the consistency will come.

His wallet is already weighing him down today.

I thought he did ok today. Much better than in some other games this season. A consistent performance rather than a great one. A great run for the penalty and almost made it hard for Semado not to bring him down. Well done SJM

Thought he played ok. Don’t forget he won the pen in the final few minutes showing he’s getting fitter all the time

Pen, and a decent cross that Watkins missed aside, thought McGinn was dreadful again. A passenger in truth with and without the ball.

Same I thought he did ok, got caught In  Possession a couple of times but was still trying to win the game at the end.
Still not there yet.

Agree and thought he looked quite sluggish at times.  I'm not sure that playing in a more deeper role alongside Luiz really suits him and I think if we are going to move forwards then we need a more and physical option in there.

That might mean a choice between McGinn and Barkley in the more advanced role.
