What was it Bruce saying about the new owners wanting young hungry players. Wonder what they think of that line up.

Strong in attack, ok in midfield.  Bit patchy at the back though.  Big game for Elphick and Taylor (who I don't think is all that bad)

I'm sure we will see Green at some point, and fucking GREAT to see Jack in there!

It is likely Jack's last game for us tonight. If he's going then I hope he adds a few million to what he's worth or at least justifies what we are asking for him. Big night.

Keep it tight, give it to Jack and hope he can produce a bit of magic. It's not the most sophisticated game plan in the world, is it? God help us if we do lose him this week.

That cannot be the best lineup available with this squad. The good news is that it will be quite difficult to bring on a sub and make the team worse.

All that said, there should be enough there to win tonight. Let's do this!

Would it be bad of me to hope he picks up an injury that would be just enough to prevent a transfer?

He could have easily chosen Elmo at RB, Hutton LB, Green and BB in the line up instead of Taylor and Whelan. Only silver lining (out of necessity due to Hogan being injured) is RHM on the bench.

We bought Downing despite an injury so that likely won't stop it. And even if it did we are left with an injured, disappointed player, 30m less in the kitty who cannot contribute for us either.

Certainly sounds like it based on Bruce's comments just now.  That 'Milner v West Ham game all over again.  Depressing stuff.
